First and foremost, I cannot envision doing anything besides being a product manager. It is fulfilling to dig into customer problems and solve them using modern technologies in ways that are beneficial to the business. This desire to find a way to make the world just a little better is what drove me into Product Management in the first place. As a customer support engineer, I could see that customers were not being heard and their needs were going unmet, and I could not sit back and watch any longer. It took many years to find my calling, but now I cannot imagine myself doing anything else. Finding ways to improve the User Experience is my passion.
What is so special about being a product manager is what you learn and practice is not just about products. It’s lessons about life. The best lessons I learned as a product manager have made me a better human, carried over into my personal life, and helped me be a better parent. Prioritizing is one of the most essential life skills. No two things can be equal. Something always has to be more important. I focus on making my life a WIN, doing What’s Important Now.
I am driven every day to make intuitive software solutions to expand the footprint in existing and new/emerging markets. But most importantly, I want to have an impact. I envision my future in an organization focused on unlocking the greater potential, purpose, and passion in each and every person.
